The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumya é uma animação da Kyoto Animation, lançada em 2007, com 28 episódios. A obra conta a vida de Kyon, um jovem humano comum, que conhece uma garota excêntrica, obcecada pelo sobrenatural, Haruhi Suzumya. Só depois de ser arrastado para o grupo escolar da garota, é que Kyon descobre a verdadeira natureza daquele ser.
